Twelve Capital Event Update – 21 September 2020
21 September 2020Hurricane situation
Tropical storm Beta formed in the Gulf of Mexico over the weekend and is predicted to make landfall within the next 24 hours near Port Lavaca, Texas. It is not predicted to strengthen into a hurricane, and as such does not provide any cause for concern.
Hurricane Teddy is currently a category 2 storm that is due to pass by Bermuda within the next 12 hours. It is predicted to continue its journey north towards Halifax, Nova Scotia where it will make landfall as a category 1 storm later this week. Twelve will keep monitoring the event for any changes, but it is not believed that it will have an impact on any of the Twelve Capital funds.
Tropical Storm Dolphin is heading towards Japan, where it will likely impact the eastern coast near Shizuoka on the island of Honshu towards to the end of the week. Current predictions do not see this storm to reach typhoon strength, so is unlikely to cause any impact to ILS portfolios.
