Twelve Capital Event Update

4 October 2024

In the Atlantic, there have been two further Named Storms this week, Major Hurricane Kirk and Tropical Storm Leslie. Both systems are located far out in the Atlantic, with, based on current modelling, no risk of a U.S. landfall. In the Gulf of Mexico, there is an area of potential development that has a 40% chance of organising over the next 7 days.

In the Eastern Pacific, there are two further systems we are monitoring, both with low chances of development over the coming week.

Elsewhere in the Pacific, Typhoon Krathon made landfall in Taiwan on October 3rd. We do not expect any impact to Twelve Capital positions.

For more information regarding Hurricane Helene, please refer to our detailed event report here.

Twelve Capital continues to closely monitor relevant potential and actual catastrophe events and will issue specific updates on new major events that occur.
